I have downloaded your software and have a few questions before I purchase; From what I can see, all the advanced capabilities will not be discussed unless I subscribe to the Realmac Community . I don't know if I want to subscribe to the Realmac Community until some of my questions are answered first. This is sort of a Catch-22.
See my questions below; Once I purchase your software, is there a limit to the amount of pages I can have? If I want to make my website bilingual (English and French) and have a button giving clients a choice between languages, is this possible? Is there an extra cost for this? How do I achieve this? I already have a domain name which is active to 2017. Can I have a bilingual site with the same domain name? Can I add a calendar to my site as an external file? Is there a specific file type that Rapid Weaver must use? Are there additional themes that can be downloaded?

Before I purchase, I will need to validate these answers as these are important to my site.

Thanking you in advance for your time.

Hi Barbara-Anne,

>From what I can see, all the advanced capabilities will not be discussed unless I subscribe to the Realmac Community .

You can discuss anything with us, and fellow users, over on the community forums, we also have extensive documentation that covers all the major topics. You only need to subscribe to this site if you wish to watch all of our tutorial videos.

> Once I purchase your software, is there a limit to the amount of pages I can have?

Nope, you can add as many pages as you like.

> If I want to make my website bilingual (English and French) and have a button giving clients a choice between languages, is this possible? Is there an extra cost for this? How do I achieve this?

You can do this with RapidWeaver, probably the easiest way is to use the Translate stack.

There are many ways of building a bi-lingual site, but it's a bit of a tricky topic to discuss here, so I'd suggest posting on the community forums for further help.

> I already have a domain name which is active to 2017. Can I have a bilingual site with the same domain name?

Again this is possible, and there are a few options available (sub-domains for example), but it's best you ask this question on the community forums.

> Can I add a calendar to my site as an external file? Is there a specific file type that Rapid Weaver must use?

Yes you can add a calendar to your RW site, there's actually a plugin that can do this for you: DateLoom

> Are there additional themes that can be downloaded?

There are hundreds and hundreds of additional themes, just browse the Themes section of this site.

Hope that helps :)

I am new to RW 6 I have been using RW2. I bought Bricks and appear to have installed it but I cannot work out how to access it in RW6. I object to being asked to pay to view a video on how to understand stacks. where can I get advice for my product.

These comments aren't a support thread, if you need help with Stacks (a third-party addon made by YourHead Software), you should head over to the YourHead support site.

Having said that, you can search through your Stacks Library by opening the library (click the "Library" button) and use the search box at the top of the library panel. So long as it's installed, Bricks should appear there.

A very good introduction to Stacks 2.x and it's media library, this feature is still available in Stacks 3.x, just in a different area and can be configured to not display if you don't want all those media files showing in your stacks library through the Stacks Preferences Panel in the RW Inspector. This Media Library should not be confused with the RapidWeaver Media lIbrary, which is a different beast.
